andrew sullivan

I'm 34 years old (born 1971) and live in San Francisco, in the Western Addition.  You can see some good photos of me on the photos page.

Until recently, I worked downtown at AT&T Business Services as a product manager for Virtual Private Networking.  I recently took a severance package, however, and am now available as a contractor or full time in the technology product management and/or public policy fields; see my resume for details.

Outside work, I'm active in the community: I'm Chair of Rescue Muni, the transit riders' association.  If you're a Muni rider and want better service, join us!
(At election time, I often post a sullislate recommending how to vote: 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, March 2004.)  I'm also a fairly active member of Grace Cathedral, and I recently joined the board of the Neighborhood Parks Council.

I also serve on the Board of Directors of Crowded Fire Theater Company.  If you didn't see 69Stories / No Good Deed, their most recent plays, you missed a great show.  Watch the Crowded Fire website for info on the next play.

Recently, I ran for Supervisor in District 5 of San Francisco, finishing fifth beind Ross Mirkarimi.
See the Supervisor page, or my campaign website for archived info.

And I'm now an eight year veteran of Burning Man.  There is nothing else like it, anywhere.  (
Info on bioluminati, my camp at Burning Man, and photos are available.)

But I'm not the Andrew Sullivan of New Republic and Virtually Normal fame.  He's an interesting one: read his books, and check out his weblog.  (Tell him I sent you!)
